The Food Research Institute is founded.
1922
The School of Biology is created and includes the departments of Anatomy, Bacteriology,
Experimental Pathology, Biochemistry, Hopkins Marine Station, Food Research
Institute, Paleontology, Physiology, Psychology, and Zoology.

The School of Social Sciences is created and includes the departments of Economics,
History, Philosophy, Political Science, and also members of the departments
of Education, Food Research, Language and Literature, Psychology, and Public
Law.

The School of Physical Sciences is created and includes the departments of Astronomy,
Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics.
1927
The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures is founded.
